🧑🎤 Land Rover Defender D300 Review
With the 300hp four-cylinder gasoline, which is cheaper than the diesels, this is a Defender that slips under £44,000 (P2.77 million). Albeit at 260g/km, it’s hardy a thrifty company-car choice. But it would take titanium-willed self-control to run through the configurator and not tick one or multiple options boxes.
It’s thought most Australians will opt for the D300 diesel that pumps out 221kW/650Nm, which is enough to haul the 2021 Land Rover Discovery from rest to 100km/h in just 6.8 seconds before topping out at 209km/h. At the pumps, Land Rover says its latest inline-six diesel can average a decent 8.9L/100km while emitting around 232g/km of CO2.

Land Rover Defender is a large 4WD that pays styling homage to the past models but thankfully is nothing like them in dynamics and ergonomics. Driving the Defender is like driving a luxury SUV that just happens to have awesome true 4WD capability. The D300 SE is priced from a bit over $100,000 plus the usual costs and options.
It’s sprightly, with 0-60mph gone in 6.5 seconds, and promises up to 33.9mpg. You won’t really notice the hybrid assistance, which is as it’s meant to be. The small amount of electrification
